FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the 56°C Steri Clean function work in HEIKO air conditioners?
The 56°C Steri Clean function helps maintain a high level of hygiene inside the air conditioner. When activated, the indoor unit heat exchanger is heated to 56°C for 30 minutes, effectively reducing up to 99% of bacteria, viruses, mold spores and other microorganisms that may develop in humid conditions.
This self-cleaning process helps improve indoor air quality, supports healthier operation and reduces the accumulation of contaminants inside the unit. The function can be activated at any time directly from the remote controller or via dedicated mobile application.
Can a HEIKO wall-mounted air conditioner efficiently heat a home during winter?
Yes. Modern HEIKO wall-mounted air conditioners, such as the MORA series, operate as highly efficient air-to-air heat pumps designed for year-round comfort, including heating during winter.
Selected models feature a factory-installed drain pan heater in the outdoor unit, preventing condensate freezing and ensuring stable heating performance even at low outdoor temperatures. Combined with advanced inverter technology, HEIKO air conditioners provide energy-efficient heating with energy ratings of up to A++, helping reduce operating costs throughout the heating season.
What is the difference between a Split and a Multi Split air conditioning system?
The main difference is the number of indoor units connected to a single outdoor unit.
A Split air conditioning system consists of one indoor unit and one outdoor unit, making it an ideal solution for cooling or heating a single room. A Multi Split system allows up to five indoor units to operate from one outdoor unit, enabling independent temperature control in multiple rooms.
Multi Split systems are particularly popular in houses, apartments and small commercial buildings because they save installation space, reduce the number of outdoor units and improve building aesthetics while maintaining high energy efficiency.
What does the I FEEL function do in a HEIKO air conditioner?
The I FEEL function improves temperature control by measuring conditions exactly where the user is located.
In standard operation, the air conditioner measures temperature near the indoor unit, which is often installed close to the ceiling where air tends to be warmer. When I FEEL is activated, the system uses the temperatures sensor built into the remote controller to monitor the temperature around the user.
This allows the air conditioner to automatically adjust cooling or heating output, improving thermal comfort and reducing the risk of overcooling or overheating the occupied area.
What are the benefits of controlling a HEIKO air conditioner through the Intelligent Air app?
The Intelligent Air mobile application provides complete remote control of compatible HEIKO air conditioners from anywhere with an internet connection.
Using a smartphone or tablet, users can turn the unit on or off, adjust temperature settings, switch operating modes, control airflow direction and create customized schedules. The app supports coolings, heating, dehumidification and ventilation functions, allowing users to optimize comfort and energy consumption throughout the day.
Remote access also helps improve energy efficiency by enabling users to manage system operation according to occupancy patterns, weather conditions and daily routines.
